In an effort to protect our clients, talent and crew from the spread of the COVID 19 virus whilst trying to keep our environmental policy, The Blonde’s Pool has established the following recapped protocol and good practice guide to provide a safe working environment on all our productions.
PRE PRODUCTION
Teams to work REMOTELY.
Remote Casting;
Self Tape / Book
By Casting Director allocating sufficient time between calls.
Location Research; scout shortlist from file.
Location Permits subject to local authorities; please think ahead allocating sufficient time between location selection and shoot date (it was 15 working days for certain authorities like coastal and environmental, and likely these deadlines are not met after Covid 19)
PPM’s to be held remotely
Fittings on cast / models to be now held on set and styling to be selected in advance from dossier with available outfits / garments prepared by Stylist.
Recce : Only ESSENTIAL Key Crew members.
The Blonde’s Pool has an accident insurance in place should any crew member require a PCR Testing in advance of the shoot date.
CLEAN SHOOT
Only ESSENTIAL Crew must attend the shoot.
Stick to the 2 meter distance as much possible.
Production to Segregate work stations.
Production to supply individual & non transferable walkie-talkies to each crew member.
Hand sanitizer, gloves, masks or shields (subject to departments) as well as shoe covers, robes .. to be supplied by Production.
Dedicated NURSE on set to:
Take temperature of every crew member using infrared thermometer.
Provide PPE’s (Personal Protection Equipment) subject to each department’s needs.
Oversee all Health & Safety Meassures are fulfilled.
All local Crew to sign a Responsible Health Declaration as per Spanish Government’s Rules.
All Crew to supply their signed & up to date Risk Assessment including the Covid 19 specific one. (Quiron Prevención / Geseme are the companies we work with.)
Try avoiding where possible the use of video village and set up instead client monitors in well ventilated / large enough designated areas.
Production to supply where possible individual green rooms for each talent.
Encourage the use of own transportation for all local crew, and keep 2 passengers per row on people carriers previously disinfected and also after every use.
All Suppliers (Camera, Lighting, Photo, Sound, Production / Location Facilities, vehicles, vans & trucks Rentals) to provide disinfection certificates for all the hired in kit, equipment & vehicles.
3G / 4G Streaming can be supplied when a remote shoot is needed.
CAST
Production & Client to Keep back ups on hold when not working with a celebrity.
HAIR & MAKE UP
To assign individual tools & personalized kit (combs, brushes, make up, shades..) per talent for the day.
To sterilize & disinfect kit before & after the shoot.
To use gloves every time possible and only dispose when absolutely needed (like on certain hair styling…)
To use a face shield and robe on top of mask when working closely to our cast (like applying face make up ..)
STYLING
Stylists to work on available options dossier after 1st feedback from Styling Moodboard in order to supply client and relevant people like art directors and so forth with enough available options to choose from.
Production to allocate more wardrobe budget than usually where possible o allow styling team to supply enough options on the shoot day in case the style is not already super clear / set in stone.
Carry outfits in individual zipper bags after disinfecting and steaming.
Disinfect all styling items like racks, hangers and tools after every use.
Always provide double / back up clothing and never share garments with doubles or stunts.
ART DEPARTMENT & PROPS
Avoid as much possible crossovers between departments during preproduction (ie set builders and painters, props master and stby props on set and so forth.
Team to designate a crew member dedicated to disinfect props and cleaning throughout the production.
Schedule set dismantling and props returns in advance, again to avoid unnecessary crossovers between crew members.
SOUND
All gear to be disinfected before and after every shoot.
Use Boom with new cover every time possible and only use a tie clip per talent for the shoot day when necessary.
CATERING
The Blonde’s Pool only uses top caterers that abide to our environmental policy and neglect the single use plastic amongst other requirements oriented to reduce the carbon footprint from our shoots and we would like to keep this habit in place as much possible even with the exceptional sanitary circumstances.
Caterers should provide lunch in our established 1 hour lunch break in x 2 – 30 mins shifts to minimize contact.
Catering built area to allow enough distance between seats.
Offer different menus from which everyone will preselect their order to be served individually in an ecologic packaging.
Craft service must also be ecologically packaged.
Cutlery and single use glasses to be supplied must also be environmentally friendly (such as bamboo).
Water Fountain / dispensers will be available to refill the individual canteens supplied by Production. These will have disinfecting spray to be used after every use as well as a hand washing station next to it (whether water & soap is possible or sanitizer gel.)
Soft Drinks will be supplied individually in returnable containers or at least recyclable ones.
Coffee machines and alike to be operated by x 1 designated catering crew member.
Recycling Stations clearly labeled should be available on set.
